What does the American Dream mean today?

For Niko Bellic, fresh off the boat from Europe, it is the hope he can escape his past.

The video game industry estimates "GTA 4" will sell about 6 million copies and make about $400 million in sales worldwide in its first week alone. If those numbers hold up, the game would break the record held by the current all-time sales champ, Halo 3.

Police groups have raised concerns, and in Chicago, ads for GTA 4 have been removed from buses and trains.

The fourth installment of the popular series by Rockstar features improved graphics, new features, and new gameplay. Players take on the role of Niko Bellic, a rough-around-the-edge chap from Eastern Europe. Niko has arrived in America, in Liberty City -- a land full of promise and opportunity. His cousin convinced him to emigrate, to join him in his mansion and life of luxury, but as soon as he steps off the boat, Niko discovers the truth about the American way. Still, the wealth, the comfort, the bliss of the good life, it all really is here ... And it's all for the taking.

GTA IV reinvents the series with a renewed version of Liberty City detailed to the last pothole and rooftop vent. There are now four boroughs to explore plus extra area outside of Liberty City proper. With the ability to climb obstacles, drive cars, steer boats and pilot helicopters, the world of GTA is more accessible than ever before.

It revealed upon our beloved prophet Muhammad (S.A.) It took 23 years to reveal. Muhammad (S.A.) used to memorized himself & instructed to write. Some of his companions (R.A.) also used to memorize after listening from Prophet (S.A.) During 1st caliph of Islam Abu Bakr Siddique (R.A.), in the fight of Yamama many hafiz of Quran got shahadah. So Abu Bakr Siddique (R.A.) with the suggestion of other famous sahaba keram (R.A.) decided to compile as a book. And Zaied ibn Sabet (R.A.) was selected as a committee leader & with the help of other hafiz sahaba (R.A.), Zaied ibn Sabet (R.A.) after compilation handed over to Abu Bakr Siddique (R.A.) Abu Bakr Siddique (R.A.) handed over to 2nd caliph Omar Farooq (R.A.) Omar Farooq (R.A.) handed over to his dearest daughter Hafsa (R.A.) before his shahada. During 3rd caliph Usman (R.A.) Islam was spreading many areas of Arab, then some people started to recite Quran according to their local pronunciation which may lead to change the actual meaning of Quranic word. As a result Usman (R.A.), according to suggestion of Huzaifa (R.A.), Usman (R.A.) has given the responsibility of compilation of Quran to Zaied ibn Sabet (R.A.) again. Based on instruction from Usman (R.A.), Zaied ibn Sabet (R.A.) compiled 6 copies of Quran. One of that copies still available in the museum of Tashkent, Uzbekistan. One photocopy is preserved in the library of Islamic Foundation, Bangladesh. Another one copy is preserved in British museum.

4. Great Blue Hole - Belize This incredible geographical phenomenon known as a blue hole is situated 60 miles off the mainland of Belize ..There are numerous blue holes around the world, but none as stunning as this one.

Islamabad, Aug.18 (ANI): Following is the text of Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf address to the nation and his announcement that he was resigning from office.
"Today is a day of an important decision for me." Proceedings began with recitation from the Holy Quran at 13.10 pm. President Pervez Musharr said the nation is aware of the crisis it is going through.
"
"When I assumed charge nine years ago the country was about to be branded a failed state and a terrorist state. He asid assumed charge with the aim of rescuing the country. In the last nine years I have tried my best to serve the country to the best of my ability... during confrontation with India, 9/11 and its aftermath and the devastating earthquake.'
'In all these crises we stood up thanks to the Grace of Gof and saved Pakistan from the crises. In handling the problems the sole aim was the well-being of the people and the safety and security of Pakistan.
I have taken part in two wars which Pakistan fought... [The coalition government] They deceived the people. Never did they realize that they may win against me but how adversely the contry was affected did not concern them. Economic decline and energy crisis we're experiencing is being attributed to my policies.
I would like to put some facts before the nation, especially the economy. The economy was doing well, in fact very well before Deb 2007. he GDP growth was 7 percent. Revenue collection had reached one trillion dollars. The KSE index was around 15,000 points. All these indicators are of eight months ago. Pakistan's economy was poised to take off. How did the economic probkem start all of a sudden? Why has the stock exchange lost 5,000 points. Why has the rupee lost almost 30 percent of its value?
Surely, the present economic crisis is owing to rising oil prices and similar other developments on a global basis. But it is wholly incorrect to put blame on these global factors alone. It is our own failures during the last 8 months.
Power Sector: We were producing 14,000 MW in June 2007 but are now producing just about 10,000 MW. Why? In a nutshell, the people are being fooled. Let us now look forward to find solutions to take the country out of the woods. During the past nine years, we addressed all sectors and accelerated development in the country. In these 9 years , we constructed several roads and bypasses and worked on several other developmental projects. You can see for yourself how much we have done, including all the dams that have been constructed (such as the Mirani Dam). Several canals are also being constructed. These developments will help irrigate 3 million acre fields in the country.
There was massive industrialisation during the last nine years. There was a lot done for higher education. Nice universities from different foreign countries had agreed to set up campuses in the country. In the health sector primary and secondary healthcare was given priority. Safe drinking water was a sector that was addressed on priority and 6000 water purification plants were set up. Women were given political empowerment and now you see a lot more women in eh assemblies. Honour killing was discouraged and Hudood Ordinance laws were revamped. The minorities were given opportunities and culture and heritage was given due importance.
Democracy: We incorporated the essence of democracy into the system through a highly progressive Local Bodies system. Anyone harming it will harm Pakistan. We held two successful general elections. Global Image: We introduced Pakistans true image all over the world which proves the success of our policies.
I'm proud of all the achievements. If you look at the donor's conference, we were given 6.5 billion dollars in donations when we needed 5 billion. I'll come to the current economic scenario now. From the beginning, I wanted to create a reconciliatory atmosphere in Pakistans politics on a personal and institutional level. I talked about the 3-phase transition to democracy in Pakistan. The third phase was achieved last year when I doffed my uniform and held free and fair elections in Pakistan. After the elections, people had hopes from their leaders in the govt. Pakistanis have been looking forward toward prosperity and stability in the political atmosphere.
Is unfortunate my appeals to strive for reconciliation and a resolution of economic issues facing the people went unheeded. Some sections of the political forces chose confrontation rather than reconciliation. The President's office was accused of conspiring against the new democratic setup. You should remember it was I who held free and fair elections. Look at the PM's election the coalition setup in Sindh. The opposition cooperated with the govt. in getting the budget passed. I have publicly announced my support to the govt. I have offered the govt. my services. Unfortunately the coalition govt. thinks me a problem and wants to impeach. What are they scared of and why do they want to do this?
Impeachment and chargesheet is the right of the Parliament and I have the right to defend myself against these charges.I am confident that no charge can be proved against me. All my actions were for the good of the people and the country. All my major decisions were the consent of all concerned and all stake-holders, e.g. services, bureaucracy, civil society, etc. I am not at all worried about the Charge-Sheet because nothing can be proved. But the larger issue is what isit going to cost Pakistan - its economy, political and social order, honour and prestige of the highest office of the state. Such are the considerations upper-most in my mind.
Whether I'm impeached or not, the country's stability will be compromised. The office of the president will also be insulted. Pakistan is my love; now and always, my life is for Pakistan. I have defended and will continue to defend Pakistan. I want to be able to bring Pakistan out of the current crisis so I think perhaps should do something. But I also do not want to do something that may generate uncertainty in the country. I also want to save the Parliament from horse-trading. Even if the impeachment is defeated, the relations between the President's office and the coalition govt. will not heal. Institutions will be endangered. Therefore, with this situation in view and having consulted my legal and political advisors, I have decided to resign from my post.
I have decided to resign from the office of President and my resignation will be handed over to the Speaker of the National Assembly. I want the people to be the judges and let them decide my fate. I am a human being and may have committed follies.(ANI

I don’t claim to be an analyst , neither do I claim to impose my strategy . I am a Pakistani and I only want to shut down this dirty game . The game of blame and brain washing , if Lal masjid clerics did brainwash people ,our media takes steps further to enhance their effect .Media’s U-TURN with Mush’s policy will only result in a larger harm to the nation . For once and for All GO MUSHARAF GO ! Is not the end of our problems. Lets not be PRO MUSHARAF , lets not support him but also lets not indulge our people into this dilemma of false hopes. Lets not blame all our problems on one man and plod along with the conspiracies of those who only seek ‘ self- interest‘.It is about time that we get our selves out of this mess !. With or without Musharaf this country has an awful lot of problems which will not move an inch if Musharaf was to step down or stay . We need to stop talking and start working !. The sky will not start pouring down food and petrol just because we kicked our dear president out . Let’s stop playing the blame game and do something constructive for ourselves. Pakistan Defence Day, Spirit Of 6th Sep 1965

6th of September is celebrated each year as the Defence of Pakistan Day. It was on this day in 1965, that India launched her forces and attacked Pakistan across the international border without a warning or a declaration of war. this action of India, which claims to be the largest democracy in the World, was in utter violation of International law, charter of the United Nations and norms of civilized behavior among states. India arrogantly swept aside her international commitments in her desire to subjugate the region.

Even after a lapse of 34 years when a new generation in Pakistan are the decision makers, the memory of IndiaÕs treachery is vivid and uncompromising. At dawn on 6th September Indian forces crossed the border, pushed back the Pakistan Rangers and advanced towards Lahore on two axis. The Indian Army Chief, Gen. J. N. Chaudhry was so confident of defeating the Pakistani troops guarding the area and capturing Lahore that he announced to all and sundry that he would have a large peg of whisky at the Lahore Gymkhana Club in the evening of the 6th. He had reason to be confident as he was known in India as the Òconqueror of Hyderabad in DeccanÓ. It was 17 years earlier that Gen Chaudhry had attacked the princely state of Hyderabad in Deccan, at the head of an armoured division. This was part of IndiaÔs multi-pronged attack by three divisions, inspite of a stand-still agreement that India had signed with the state. But NehruÕs (First Prime Minister of India) new-India had started to proclaim that her agreements and commitments national and international could be violated at will to suit her purpose.

IndiaÕs attack against Lahore was held and beaten back with heavy losses to the attackers. The Pakistan Army units defending on the ground, supported by the Pakistan Air Force were able to blunt the Indian offensive and roll it back. Two days later on 8th September India launched its main attack against Sialkot using its armoured division and other strike formations. What ensued has been described as the largest tank battle since the second World War. It was a hard and bitter struggle fought over many days and nightÕs resulting in casualties on both sides. In the end the Indian main attack was held and severely mauled. Its armoured division was force to withdraw owing to very high losses in men and material. South of Lahore, Pakistan launched its own counter attack and captured IndiaÕs Khem Karan and beyond. This posed a serious threat to the rear of Indian troops facing Lahore.

In the South Pakistan took the initiative to push back Indian troops and enter Indian territory. During the operations India captured about 400 square miles of Pakistan territory but lost around 1600 square miles of its own to Pakistan. The war ended with the mediation effort of the USSR and a peace agreement was signed at Tashkent

Pakistan emerged from the September 1965 war with India, a strong and self-confident nation, proud of itself and its armed forces. It was a nation that was united in facing the danger from India. National unity and full support for the armed forces in the field is essential for success in war. With the nationÕs support the Armed Forces of Pakistan repulsed IndiaÔs naked aggression across the international border and made her pay a price for it by capturing four times more territory than India and forcing her to accept a ceasefire, return to the negotiating table and to vacate each others territory. It was certainly their finest hour of glory and a day to be remembered by future generations of soldiers and civilians.

The 6th of September should also be a day of thanksgiving. We should all pray for the safety and solidarity of Pakistan and also that God gives us the strength, courage and determination, to protect and safeguard at all costs, the freedom and honour of our homeland.
